Each Breezy Rubix2 Wheelchair is assembled to order, with a range of options and in your exact size to ensure it is right for you. Three versions of the Rubix2 are available:
Rubix2 - in seat widths of 15 - 20" it accommodates most average sized people. 125 kg weight capacity.
Rubix2 XL - a heavy duty version with larger seat sizes of 20.5 - 23.5" and a reinforced frame. Features a hefty 160 kg weight capacity.
Rubix2 Comfort - with comfortably padded seating ideal for spending longer periods of time in the wheelchair. Available in both standard and XL versions.
A variety of options across the Rubix range allows your wheelchair to be personalised, such as reclining backrests, elevating legrests, one-arm drive, crutch holders and more. The frame colour is also available in a choice of silver, red and blue.
Our Verdict
The Rubix2 is a solid, durable wheelchair - we use the XL version for our Heavy User wheelchair, where it has to withstand the rigours of being hired out. However, there are some more modern models of wheelchair available that offer much the same as the Rubix at lower costs. In particular, Karma's Flexx Original and Invacare's Action 3NG Light are alternatives to the regular Rubix2, the Flexx HD an alternative to the RubixXL, and Invacare's Action 3NG Comfort an alternative to the Comfort version of the Rubix.
