The Breezy Basix2 Wheelchair is essentially the same wheelchair as the fully prescriptive Rubix2, but available in a series of stock sizes and configurations at a lower cost. It benefits from all the premium features of the Rubix - flip-back armrests for easy transfers, a tension-adjustable backrest to provide more support by conforming to your contours, and adjustable rear-wheel position.
The Basix2 is available in either transit or self-propelled configuration, in seat widths of 15 - 20". This allows for a good fit, particularly with the adjustable seat depth and backrest height.
Optional upgrades include elevating leg rests, amputee supports, height adjustable armrests, a crutch holder, tray table and backrest extension with integrated headrest.
Our Verdict
The Breezy Basix has long been a workhorse of our hire fleet - it's what we used for our Elevated Leg Rest wheelchair. It's well-built, sturdy and simple to use. However, there are more modern looking wheelchairs available at lower costs, such as Karma's Flexx Standard and Greencare's Easy 1 Black Edition.
