Stannah Starla Stairlift

The Starla is the most elegant and customisable stairlift in Stannah's range. Able to be installed with both straight and curved stairlifts it has the option for a powered swivel seat and footrest for the ultimate in convenience.

Product Description

The Stannah Starla Stairlift is their most elegant design, and can be customised with a range of upholsteries and even rail colours. The upholsteries include vinyl, woven fabrics, velvety feel ones, and patterned designs.

The Starla is compatible with all three of Stannah's rail types - straight, bespoke curved and modular curved, so whatever your requirements, it can also suit.

The seat swivels as standard, and the footrest can be operated without bending down. Both can be upgraded to powered versions for the ultimate in convenience.

As with all Stannah stairlifts, the Starla is powered by rechargeable batteries so that even in the event of a power cut your stairlift will continue to operate. Other safety features include a one-hand operated seatbelt and sensors that bring the stairlift to a gentle stop if it is obstructed.

Pricing

Our stairlifts are customised to suit both you and your home, and the price is heavily dependent on the layout of your staircase. For this reason it is not possible to quote for a stairlift until we have arranged for an assessor to visit your house. The price is usually affected by factors such as:

  • Type of staircase - straight stairlifts are generally cheaper than curved ones, and indoor stairlifts are cheaper than outdoor ones. The angle of your stairs, the space available at both top and bottom of your staircase, and the height of the bulkhead on the stairs can all impact on cost too.

  • Whether any adaptations are needed to fit the stairlift. Common adaptations include moving a radiator or trimming a windowsill.

  • Optional functions chosen on the stairlift, when available, such as powered swivel can add to the cost.

Most people using stairlifts will be eligible for zero-rated VAT. Those with a disability, chronic sickness or terminal illness are eligible for 0% VAT. If the person using the stairlift is not eligible for zero-rated VAT but is over 60 then they can get a reduced rate of 5% VAT. Our assessors can advise on your VAT status when they visit you.
