Stanner Sadler Stairlift for Narrow Stairs

Stannah's Sadler is a truly unique stairlift featuring an innovative saddle style seat that supports those with limited flexibility, while keeping most of the weight off their feet. It works particularly well in narrow staircases thanks to its compact design.

Product Description

The Stanner Sadler Stairlift for Narrow Stairs is a unique stairlift designed for people who have limited flexibility, particularly in their knees or hips. The innovative saddle style seat lowers and raises with the user, which combines with its elevated position to make entry and exit easier. Unlike a traditional "perch", the seat takes most of the weight rather than the legs, making for a more comfortable ride. This slim profile also makes the Sadler well-suited to narrower staircases, and also for taller people.

Simple intuitive controls are designed to suit all, and are ideal for people with limited dexterity. Wall controls let you summon your Sadler from another floor - or send it up or down for someone else to use.

The immobiliser seatbelt fastens with one hand, and is easy on arthritic hands. The stairlift won't operate without the seatbelt fastened, keeping you secure.

Convenience is further enhanced by the effortless footrest to armrest link - folding the arms automatically folds the footrest, ensuring you don't need to bend down to fold the footrest.

The Sadler is compatible with both curved and straight staircases.

Pricing

Our stairlifts are customised to suit both you and your home, and the price is heavily dependent on the layout of your staircase. For this reason it is not possible to quote for a stairlift until we have arranged for an assessor to visit your house. The price is usually affected by factors such as:

  • Type of staircase - straight stairlifts are generally cheaper than curved ones, and indoor stairlifts are cheaper than outdoor ones. The angle of your stairs, the space available at both top and bottom of your staircase, and the height of the bulkhead on the stairs can all impact on cost too.

  • Whether any adaptations are needed to fit the stairlift. Common adaptations include moving a radiator or trimming a windowsill.

  • Optional functions chosen on the stairlift, when available, such as powered swivel can add to the cost.

Most people using stairlifts will be eligible for zero-rated VAT. Those with a disability, chronic sickness or terminal illness are eligible for 0% VAT. If the person using the stairlift is not eligible for zero-rated VAT but is over 60 then they can get a reduced rate of 5% VAT. Our assessors can advise on your VAT status when they visit you.
