Stannah Outdoor Stairlift

The Outdoor stairlift from Stannah is designed to help you get out and about. A robust stairlift built to withstand the elements, the Outdoor can be fitted to a flight of stairs outdoors, or steps down to the garden.

Product Description

The Stannah Outdoor Stairlift is the ideal solution for a straight flight of outdoor stairs, or a few steps down to your garden. It works all year round, in weather from -10°C to +40°C, and is built to withstand the elements - it can work in both rain and shine. The Outdoor can be installed on a range of surfaces, and a protective cover keeps it clean and dry when not in use.

Robustly designed, it features a swivel seat for ease of sitting and standing, and the seat can be folded up to leave access for others.

The joystick can be conveniently mounted on either side, and a key switch allows it to be turned off completely if required. An optional call station can be installed, letting you call the lift for yourself or to send it to someone else.

Pricing

Our stairlifts are customised to suit both you and your home, and the price is heavily dependent on the layout of your staircase. For this reason it is not possible to quote for a stairlift until we have arranged for an assessor to visit your house. The price is usually affected by factors such as:

  • Type of staircase - straight stairlifts are generally cheaper than curved ones, and indoor stairlifts are cheaper than outdoor ones. The angle of your stairs, the space available at both top and bottom of your staircase, and the height of the bulkhead on the stairs can all impact on cost too.

  • Whether any adaptations are needed to fit the stairlift. Common adaptations include moving a radiator or trimming a windowsill.

  • Optional functions chosen on the stairlift, when available, such as powered swivel can add to the cost.

Most people using stairlifts will be eligible for zero-rated VAT. Those with a disability, chronic sickness or terminal illness are eligible for 0% VAT. If the person using the stairlift is not eligible for zero-rated VAT but is over 60 then they can get a reduced rate of 5% VAT. Our assessors can advise on your VAT status when they visit you.
