The Spinergy LX Wheels wheels feature just 12 spokes, compared with the SPOX's 18. The greater spacing between spokes allows for easier reach-through access underneath your chair, while also reducing the weight of the wheels. The LX are just as sturdy and reliable as the SPOX wheels, the fibre spokes being three times the strength of steel, and helping to reduce shocks and vibration.
Available in a range of sizes and colours, the LX wheels come in 22, 24, 25 and 26" wheel sizes, and with a choice of black, white, yellow, orange, red, purple, blue and green spoke colours to match the highlights on your wheelchair.
Our Verdict
The LX wheels are aesthetically pleasing in a way few other wheelchair wheels manage - while more expensive than SPOX wheels, we feel the increased access, reduced weight and enhanced looks are worth the cost.
As with Spinergy's SPOX wheels, we often demonstrate the strength of the LX wheels by standing on them - something we wouldn't dare to do with any other make of wheel!
