RGK Tiga Jnr Wheelchair

The aluminium RGK Tiga Junior is designed to provide a lightweight, adaptable wheelchair with a personalized fit, comfort and long-term usability as your child grows.

Product Description

The RGK Tiga Jnr Wheelchair has been specifically designed to inspire confidence, independence and individuality in your child. Built-in growth adjustability allows for a longevity of the life of the chair, and its lightness frees your child to self-propel or to make pushing them that little bit easier on you.

The wheelchair features a super-lightweight aerospace-grade aluminium frame, weighing from only 5kg. The frame has been designed to maximise pushing efficiency and has a range of ergonomic features which promote good posture and comfort.

Growth adjustability is key and the Tiga Jnr can be configured in all sorts of ways by offering functional, comfort and style options. It's available with a fixed or folding backrest, adjustable axle position, fixed or adjustable footrest position, and fixed or adjustable backrest height, providing flexibility and adaptability to suit individual needs. It's available with 22", 24" or 25" rear wheels. And a range of other active options are available such as wheel locks, side guards, anti-tip wheels, armrests and height adjustable push handles.

The Tiga Junior is specifically designed to your child. Over 30 individual measurements are taken to ensure the wheelchair fits their requirements, providing a personalized fit and optimal comfort. Additionally, RGK provide a full range of ergonomic backrests and seats to ensure comfort, pelvic positioning and balance. And there's a wide range of other accessories such as wheel locks, side guards, push handles and armrests.

The frame can be specified with a range of exciting powder-coated colours and with polished or brushed aluminium parts. Your child can also have fun customising fabric parts with embroidery.

RGK's Airtech Upholstery system provides for a tension adjustable backrest and centre pad, including mesh cover panels, for better support and positioning. It's a breathable material designed to keep your child cool.

Our Verdict

We particularly like the Tiga Jnr for the configuration possibilities especially the push handle accessory. In many respects it's certainly a match for our most popular children's wheelchair, the Ki Mobility Little Wave XP. You might want to take a look at the Little Wave Clik too. It's a little more costly than the Little Wave but comes in smaller sizes.
