Product Description

The RGK Tiga Wheelchair combines the benefits of aluminium, well-known for its strength, durability, and lightweight properties with a wealth of made to measure options, making it a versatile and high-performance daily wheelchair.

The transport weight is an incredible 5kg. This light weight makes everyday travel that much easier with the Tiga, but it has the potential to rise to 12kg depending on additional options, excluding third party wheelchair add-ons. With wheels, the total weight of the wheelchair is 7kg rising to a maximum of 15kg, again depending in additional options but not including third party add-ons.

Over 30 individual measurements are taken of the user to ensure the Tiga fits their individual requirements, providing a personalized fit and optimal comfort. Additionally, RGK provide a full range of ergonomic backrests and seats to ensure comfort, pelvic positioning and balance. And there is a wide range of other accessories available such as wheel locks, side guards, push handles and armrests.

RGK's Airtech Technology system provides for a tension adjustable backrest and centre pad, including mesh cover panels, for better support and positioning. It's a breathable material designed to keep you cool.

Our Verdict

As we've come to expect from RGK, the Tiga is an impressive looking wheelchair. It's an RGK classic and a bestseller for good reason. Solid and robust yet made from lightweight aluminium materials it unquestionably deserves a place in our range and it's no surprise RGK have developed the series resulting in the FX, F2, Sub4 and Jnr versions. As an alternative, you might consider the KSL 2.0 from Kuschall featuring a hydroformed and fully welded frame. Made to measure with no unnecessary adjustments, the KSL is a sleek and practical wheelchair. Another option might be the made to measure Progeo Joker Energy, with an aluminium welded frame characterised by sleek lines and elegant design.
