Lightweight and stylish the RGK Maxlite Wheelchair is constructed with titanium frame just 1.9cm in diameter, combining lightweight design and elegance.

Over 30 individual measurements are taken of the user to ensure the Hi Lite XTR fits their individual requirements, providing a compact, personalized fit and optimal posture, comfort and performance. Additionally, RGK provide a full range of ergonomic backrests and seats to ensure comfort, pelvic positioning and balance. And there is a wide range of other accessories available such as wheel locks, side guards, push handles and armrests.

RGK's Airtech Technology system provides for a tension adjustable backrest and centre pad, including mesh cover panels, for better support and positioning. It's a breathable material designed to keep you cool.

The wheelchair offers options for open or closed frame designs, allowing users to choose the style that best suits their preferences. Other options extend to a fixed or folding backrest, adjustable axle position, fixed or adjustable footrest position, and fixed or adjustable backrest height, providing flexibility and adaptability to suit individual needs.

In terms of portability, it's important to note that the heaviest part is a truly outstanding 5.5kg, This light weight makes everyday travel that much easier with the Hi Lite XTR. It may rise to 12kg depending on additional options, excluding third party wheelchair add-ons. With wheels, the total weight of the wheelchair is 7.5kg rising to a maximum of 15kg, again depending in additional options but not including third party add-ons.

RGK Maxlite certainly provides a smooth and comfortable ride, and it's a perfect aid for daily activities. The minimalist frame is a feature many people appreciate if the want a a more unassuming looking wheelchair with sleeker lines. RGK's Hi Lite and Hi Lite XTR might be worth considering with similar features and higher user capacities.

All aftercare is carried out by our experienced specialists, with a fleet of mobile engineers, and a fully stocked workshop at our HQ - we don't get a third-party company to carry out our work. In the unlikely event your wheelchair needs to come back to us for repair, we will provide you with a loan active wheelchair from our fleet to keep you mobile.

Pricing

Active wheelchairs are built to order following an assessment with one of our Prescriptive Assessors. They are available with a wide range of customisation options, from wheels to seating to style upgrades, and these can affect the price - our Prescriptive Assessors will run through all the options at your assessment. As a general guideline, we find most people will spend around an additional £500 - £2,00 on customisation options on active wheelchairs; however it is possible to get a fully functioning and desirable chair at the base price!

People purchasing active wheelchairs will normally qualify for zero-rated VAT. If the person using the wheelchair has a permanent disability, terminal illness or chronic sickness then they will be eligible for 0% VAT. Our Prescriptive Assessors will be able to answer any questions you may have about VAT.
