Made to Measure
This item of furniture is made to measure following an assessment with one of our product specialists. This allows us to assess your requirements and measure you, so your chair can be built to fit your size, body shape and weight. As well as being built in your size, made to measure chairs can be built with a range of mechanisms to get you into a comfortable position and to help you stand, and also have a wide array of fabrics available.
Assessments
We can carry out free of charge assessments at our Chessington HQ where you will have the opportunity to try out our full range of furniture and seating mechanisms; alternatively we can come to your home address where we can also assess the area that the chair will be situated in - there may be a charge for a home assessment.
Our product specialists are experienced with all aspects of the furniture we supply, and can demonstrate and assess for all the options available. Should you wish to have a clinical input as well, for example if you require complex seating solutions, then we can arrange to assess alongside one of our partnered Occupational Therapists - there is a charge for this service.
Process
Following your consultation, we will provide a quote for the chair as assessed with you. When you are ready to order we will need to take a 50% non-refundable deposit to commence the build. Made to measure furniture tend to take 2 - 3 weeks to be crafted - we will advise you of the current build time at the time of order, and keep you updated as the build progresses.
Once your furniture has been built, we will deliver it in a Wheelfreedom van to your address. Our product specialist will set up your furniture, and spend the time with you to ensure that you are confident with its usage.
