The Pride Mini Crosser X2 Mobility Scooter is based on the proven X1. The X2 offers the same facilities and equipment as the X1, however the control panel on the X2 provides a whole range of new and innovative features. The light sensitive display provides an abundance of easy to use attributes.
The X2 has great suspension and copes with a diversity of terrains. There are multiple features enabling the user to find the highest comfort level possible. An optimal driving position can be attained in many ways, including adjusting the seat height, backrest angle and seat width. The swivel seat feature enables easy access and the height of the steering column can be adjusted too, as can the headrest, armrests and handlebars. You can also choose to upgrade from a standard set to an ERGO2 HD seat. The standard weight capacity of 175kg is increased with the Heavy Duty version of the X2 to 250kg.
The motor brake adjusts the vehicle speed when going downhill and the anti-tip wheels at the rear provide an added safety feature.
The tyres are pneumatic, producing a smoother ride and there is a puncture-proof option. The X2 has a 165cm turning circle, which is pretty tight for such a large vehicle, enabling easy navigation in all types of spaces. The LED headlight, rear light and blinkers will be particularly useful in varying climates and scenarios.
The standard 56 Ah batteries will take you up to 21.7 miles which can be upgraded to 85 Ah batteries increasing the range to 37 miles but be aware this can vary depending upon user weight, type and incline of terrain, weather, battery charge and condition, operating speed and general driving situation. Nevertheless, it's an extremely powerful and reliable scooter.
If you need to transport or store the scooter you can fold down the seat and handlebars, reducing the height to 69cm but the total weight of 124kg will still take some lifting so you might consider using a car hoist. The front basket will carry up to 8kg and there are a range of accessories including an optional rear basket which carries up to 15kg.
The control panel, being the key difference from the X1, features a new and innovative light-sensitive display which shows the date, time, temperature, distance covered, current speed and battery status.
Our Verdict
While the X2 retains the core features and quality of the Pride Mini Crosser X1, the new control panel with enhanced features and customization options, make it a comfortable and reliable model. Another scooter to consider in this class is the TGA Breeze S4, which is extremely popular with our customers but pricier than some other heavy duty scooters.
