The Pride Go Go Elite Traveller Sport Mobility Scooter comes with an enhanced weight capacity of 23 stone, as well as a longer "deck" that comes with an additional 2 inches of space, giving the user of the scooter extra leg room. The adjustable delta tiller comes with wraparound handles, meaning it can be used comfortably even by those with limited dexterity.
The comfort of the user is also enhanced by seat-post suspension, not a feature usually found on small scooters. This combines well with the larger wheels, which allow the Elite Traveller Sport to handle uneven surfaces better than standard boot scooters that generally have smaller wheels.
Other advanced features such as front and rear LED lighting keep the driver of the Elite Traveller Sport safe, and the large 18 Ah batteries give it a long range of up to 12.5 miles.
The Elite Traveller Sport can be dismantled in the same way as other boot scooters, although its larger size does meant the heaviest piece is 20 kg, whereas for more basic boot scooters that tends to be 15 kg.
Our Verdict
Overall, the Pride Go Go Elite Traveller Sport is the ideal product for those after a transportable boot scooter that offers better performance than that found in traditional models. While a larger scooter like the Revo 2 will offer even more comfort and performance, it is also heavier to lift, so only really suitable for occasional transport.
The larger wheels of the Elite Traveller Sport allow it to handle rougher ground than small-wheeled boot scooters - if you are driving on tracks and pathways then this is the scooter to go for. However, there is a trade-off with the suspension, as the Sport does not have full suspension - so models such as the Apex Rapid will provide a smoother ride.
