A step up on the Colt Sport, the Apex Finesse Sport is similar in being a medium-sized 8 mph scooter, but is a much more modern design. It features improved Comfort-Trac suspension on both front and rear wheels, which provides a spongier and smoother ride than the Colt Sport, plus pneumatic tyres to help cushion the ride. Comfort is further enhanced by the high-back adjustable seat with headrest, plus the exceptional legroom on a scooter this size.
The high-torque motor provides a top speed of 8 mph, and the compact chassis lets the Finesse Sport get places that larger scooters cannot. The batteries have been upgraded to high capacity 50 Ah ones for a longer range. Other modern features include the high visibility front and rear LED lights, alloy style 10 inch tyres, and the easy to use wraparound delta tiller controls.
Our Verdict
Offered in both red or blue, we think the Apex Finesse Sport is an impressive performer for its size, ideal for people wanting a fast 8 mph scooter to use on roads, but who have limited storage space or a need for manoeuvrability. It is a more modern scooter than Pride's basic Colt Sport, as well as being much better looking and significantly more comfortable - closer in comfort to larger full-sized scooters, whilst being more affordable than a full-sized scooter.
