Panthera Micro 3 Wheelchair

Panthera's Micro 3 is for children aged 1-5, designed to empower them to explore the world around them. Lightweight, easy to handle, and robust, it is also built with parents in mind, and is easy to push and manoeuvre.

Product Description

The Panthera Micro 3 Wheelchair is a unique active wheelchair for children, with a distinctive 3 wheeled design that make it extremely manoeuvrable. Aimed at children aged 1-5 who are likely to be using a wheelchair for the first time, it is easy to handle, freeing your child to explore and engage with the world around them.

The Micro 3 is convenient for parents and carers too, with the optional push handle a popular option; height adjustable to suit a range of people pushing the wheelchair. It is incredibly light, with a transport weight from just 2.2kg, and total weight of just 3.5kg, making it easy to push and easy to lift into a car too.

Panthera's Micro 3 is built to fit your child's size, and features adjustments such as to the footrest position that allow it to cater to growth. A range of options are available for it as well, including spoke protectors, side guards, and colour choices, although the standard blue colour is the most popular, as it is stocked by Panthera for a quick lead time.

Our Verdict

The Micro 3 is a popular chair for its compact footprint and manoeuvrability. It doesn't have quite the same growth potential and customisation options as other paediatric chairs such as Ki Mobility's Little Wave XP and Little Wave Clik, but it is noticeably lighter than its competitors.

Active wheelchairs are built to order following an assessment with one of our Prescriptive Assessors. They are available with a wide range of customisation options, from wheels to seating to style upgrades, and these can affect the price - our Prescriptive Assessors will run through all the options at your assessment. As a general guideline, we find most people will spend around an additional £500 - £2,00 on customisation options on active wheelchairs; however it is possible to get a fully functioning and desirable chair at the base price!

People purchasing active wheelchairs will normally qualify for zero-rated VAT. If the person using the wheelchair has a permanent disability, terminal illness or chronic sickness then they will be eligible for 0% VAT. Our Prescriptive Assessors will be able to answer any questions you may have about VAT.
