Opera Beds
Wheelfreedom have partnered with prestigious British bed manufacturers Opera for their comprehensive range of richly-featured profiling beds. All of their beds are highly functional, with adjustable positioning, and can raise and lower. They come in a range of sizes, and can be configured with a selection of complementary accessories such as overbed tables.
Unlike traditional electrically adjusting beds, when tend to look rather dated, Opera's beds feature contemporary styling, which also sets them apart from the "clinical" look of hospital beds. This allows them to fit seamlessly into any bedroom, and a range of finishes ensure they will match your décor.
Profiling Beds
Profiling beds help to assist the elderly and disabled with mobility and support, whilst also helping carers with nursing thanks to their height-adjustability. They allow you to raise the backrest up to sit up in bed, as well as raising the footrest and knee break to elevate your legs.
All the functions are operated independently by a wired handset that can be clipped to the side of your bed.

Solo Profiling Bed
Opera's Solo range are designed to accommodate advanced care needs for individuals at high risk of falls, particularly those with dementia. The beds have an outstanding height range of 11 - 73.5 cm, this incredibly low floor height reducing the need for side rails.
The bed is available in either an oak or walnut wood finish, and in three widths - a standard 3' single bed, wider 3'6" single, or 4' small double, while a length extension is available for the tallest people.
Our Verdict
For those at high risk of falls, the Opera range of floor beds is the ideal solution, allowing the bed to be lowered to just 11 cm from the ground while sleeping, and then raised up for transfers or to provide care.
The Opera Solo Profiling Bed is the most affordable model in Opera's Solo range, offering a substantial saving over the upholstered Comfort variant.
