The main difference is its improved outdoor capabilities - the result of larger 12 inch rear wheels, suspension, and more powerful 250 Watt motors. The higher capacity Lithium Ion batteries offer a longer 13 mile range, making this the ideal folding powerchair for lengthy journeys outdoors.
The Foldalite Trekker remains transportable - it folds up just as easily as the other Foldalite models, although it is a bit heavier at 33 kg. This realistically requires two people to lift - or alternatively it works brilliantly with a car boot hoist.
A digital LCD screen joystick comes with the Foldalite Trekker, which includes a built-in USB port to charge your phone on the go, and three drive profiles for use around different environments.

Our Verdict
If you're after a folding powered wheelchair for use primarily outdoors and want to take it beyond just pavements, the Trekker is one of the best choices. Only Quickie's new Q50 R stacks up against it when it comes to outdoor performance, but is slightly heavier.
The Foldalite Trekker has now been discontinued and replaced with the Aerolite Trekker.
