A Loopwheel is a wheel with integral suspension - it reduces vibration, increases performance, and provides you with greater comfort. The carbon springs absorb vibrations and bumps, are strong and durable, and are designed for everyday use. The three loops in each wheel act as a self-correcting system, constantly adjusting to uneven terrain; in effect the hub floats within the rim. The springs also give you a practical advantage of helping to get up kerbs.
They don't run quite as true as a standard spoked wheel, and you will notice some sideways movement, although much less so than the Classics. Loopwheels are different to standard spoked wheels - you will feel a difference to them as a result of their flexibility. Loopwheels LT are vibration-reducing wheels specifically designed for lighter users between 40 and 60kg who want a softer suspension. Based on the hugely popular Loopwheels Urban, Loopwheels LT are available in one spring strength to maximise comfort for our lighter weight users. Available in black or with a colour anodised hub and rim hinge, the weight of the 24” wheel is an ultra light 1.36kg (without push rim, tyre, or axle), designed for use everywhere from pavements to off-roading. The spring and loop materials consist of an extremely lightweight and robust carbon fibre composite. This enables Loopwheels LT to reach a maximum load (user and chair) up to 120kg.
