Invacare Rea Azalea

Invacare's Rea Azalea is the market-leading tilt in space wheelchair, which medical professionals across the country are familiar with. It is a popular wheelchair for care home use, particularly for patients with dementia or who have had strokes. It provides high levels of postural support and comfort, and is ideal for those that will be spending most of the day in their wheelchair.

Delivery Information

Built to order

Manual wheelchairs such as this are built to order following an assessment with one of our Prescriptive Assessors. This allows us to measure up the wheelchair user so that their equipment provides a perfect fit for them, as well as demonstrating and assessing for the various options. Prescriptive manual wheelchairs can have a vast range of options so they best fit your comfort and requirements, and can be supplied with specialist seating solutions such as pressure relieving cushions and posture-supporting backrests for those with advanced seating requirements.

Assessments

We can carry out free of charge assessments either at our Chessington HQ where you will have the opportunity to try out our full range of products, or at your home address where we can also assess the environment you will be using the wheelchair around.

Our Prescriptive Assessors are experienced with all aspects of the wheelchairs we supply, and can demonstrate and assess for all the options available. Should you wish to have a clinical input as well, for example if you require complex seating solutions, then we can arrange to assess alongside one of our partnered Occupational Therapists - there is a further charge for this service.

Process

Following your consultation, we will provide a quote for the wheelchair (or wheelchairs) as assessed with you. When you are ready to order we will need to take a 50% non-refundable deposit to commence the build. Prescriptive wheelchairs tend to take 3 - 5 weeks to be built - we will advise you of the current build time at the time of order, and keep you updated as the build progresses.

Once your wheelchair has been built, it can be collected from our Chessington HQ, or we can arrange delivery to your home address. We will set up your equipment, making any adjustments necessary to ensure that your chosen wheelchair is perfectly fitted for your comfort, and spend the time with you to ensure that you are confident with its usage.

We understand that every person is an individual, and that some people may require longer to get used to their new wheelchair - particularly if this is the first time they have used one, or they have advanced seating requirements. Our staff are experienced with handovers, and will spend as long as necessary to ensure you are comfortable with the equipment.
