Alber E-Fix E35/36 Power Wheels

The Alber E-Fix is the power add-on drive that lets you convert your manual wheelchair into an electric one, quickly and easily. With the simple addition of a lightweight Lithium battery, powerful yet discreet wheels with in-built motors, and an ergonomic LCD joystick, you can cover longer distances quickly and easily. Each part is easy to remove with no tools required, keeping your wheelchair extremely transportable, while also letting you switch between using your chair as a manual or powered one as you require.

Assessments

Some wheelchair add-ons require an assessment with one of our Prescriptive Assessors prior to ordering, to ensure they are suitable for your wheelchair, and to run over the options available. Other "standard" products that are not built to order may not require an assessment before ordering.

We can carry out assessments either at our Chessington HQ where you will have the opportunity to try out our full range of products, or at your home address where we can also assess the environment you will be using the wheelchair around.

Our specialists are experienced with all aspects of the products we supply, and can demonstrate and assess for all the options available. Should you wish to have a clinical input as well, then we can arrange to assess alongside one of our partnered Occupational Therapists - there is a further charge for this service.

Process

If an assessment is required first, then following this we will provide a quote for the equipment as assessed with you. When you are ready to order we will need to take a 50% non-refundable deposit to commence the order. Some wheelchair add-ons are available for immediate dispatch, while others are built to order, and can take a few weeks, particularly if being fitted to a new wheelchair.

Once your order is ready, it can be collected from our Chessington HQ, or we can arrange delivery to your home address. We will set up your equipment, making any adjustments necessary to ensure that it is perfectly fitted, and spend the time with you to ensure that you are confident with its usage.

We understand that every person is an individual, and that some people may require longer to get used to their new wheelchair add-ons - particularly if this is the first time they have used one. Our staff are experienced with handovers, and will spend as long as necessary to ensure you are comfortable with the equipment.
