Handicare 1100 Straight Stairlift

The 1100 is the slimmest straight staircase available, maximising the amount of space free for other people to use on the staircase. Its compact size enables it to blend in with your interior, and the patented rail design ensures it is easy to keep clean.

Product Description

The Handicare 1100 Straight Stairlift is the slimmest straight stairlift on the market. It features a strong yet super slim rail that obscures less of your stairs than any other straight stairlift system. The compact design and grease free rail blends in with your interior and is a breeze to keep clean. Patented technology means the rail doesn't feature an ugly tooth rack.

The slim rail can be placed close to the wall, maximising the amount of staircase free for other people to use. This is further enhanced by the seat, which folds up along with the armrests and footrest.

Continuous charge technology means the stairlift can be charged whatever the position of the seat, ensuring it is always ready for you to use when needed.

Pricing

Our stairlifts are customised to suit both you and your home, and the price is heavily dependent on the layout of your staircase. For this reason it is not possible to quote for a stairlift until we have arranged for an assessor to visit your house. The price is usually affected by factors such as:

  • Type of staircase - straight stairlifts are generally cheaper than curved ones, and indoor stairlifts are cheaper than outdoor ones. The angle of your stairs, the space available at both top and bottom of your staircase, and the height of the bulkhead on the stairs can all impact on cost too.

  • Whether any adaptations are needed to fit the stairlift. Common adaptations include moving a radiator or trimming a windowsill.

  • Optional functions chosen on the stairlift, when available, such as powered swivel can add to the cost.

Most people using stairlifts will be eligible for zero-rated VAT. Those with a disability, chronic sickness or terminal illness are eligible for 0% VAT. If the person using the stairlift is not eligible for zero-rated VAT but is over 60 then they can get a reduced rate of 5% VAT. Our assessors can advise on your VAT status when they visit you.
