Wheelfreedom have recently attended the new Trade Days exhibition, held earlier this week at the NEC at Birmingham. Trade Days is a new event for businesses who supply products for the mobility, independent living and assistive technology markets, and acts as a trade-focused alternative to the popular Naidex exhibitions.
Trade Days offered us the opportunity to meet a large number of manufacturers of mobility equipment such as manual wheelchairs, powerchairs and mobility scooters. Amongst the exhibitors were big players such as TGA, Sunrise Medical and Roma Medical, and over 145 suppliers were in attendance.
A number of exciting new products were on show, including a new edition of Roma`s popular Reno powerchair that offers improved outdoor performance, and which should be fully crash-tested. We also had the chance to see TGA`s innovative Maximo scooter - a unique folding 8 mph scooter unlike anything currently on the market. Finally, the Sunrise Medical stand had information on the new Salsa M2 which is on its way. They also had a number of new mobility scooters that should be hitting the market in the coming months, which we will bring you further news on in the near future.
