The unique event plans to return July 5th and 6th 2024, hereâs what some of this yearâs guests had to say about the welcoming and informative community to be found there.Â
âWeâre relatively new to the disability community â Angela had an accident in May 22 resulting in a spinal cord injury â now a wheelchair-user. I wasnât too sure what to expect from Disability Expo. I knew there would be many exhibitors that provided services that wouldnât apply to us â disability has such a wide range. What I hadnât expected was just how welcoming everyone was. At most exhibitions, youâre afraid of getting âgrabbedâ by a salesman selling what you donât want. That was not what Disability Expo was like. We had lots of fascinating conversations with exhibitors and other visitors, so we left feeling stronger and inspired.â
Richard and Angela Genn
âReally enjoyed my first ever experience at the Disability Expo! It was so refreshing to be in such an inclusive environment, learn about new technologies and equipment, as well as meeting some great people. Thanks for a great day!â
Leo Aces Collins, The Queer Disabled Coach
âMust say this Disability Expo was the the best I attended where I felt the genuine warmth as a non disabled person accompanying and observing. I saw for myself Community spirit at its best and I got the feeling most of the participants were so sincere and willing the community. The Venue was simply superb and long may it continue to be every year.
I had the best day at Disability Expo. It was great being able to chat to people about my role as a disabled nurse. But also providing information about my assistance dog and how he helps me. I canât wait till next year!â
