Invacare are launching the second phase of their revolutionary LiNX system of powerchair controls at the annual Trade Days event on Monday 9th October, and following an exclusive preview from Invacare, we can bring you the lowdown on what these exciting new features mean for you.
The first stage of LiNX controls was launched last year, setting new standards for ease of use and reliability, while adaptive load compensation ensures a consistent drive over time, uniquely learning from how you use your powerchair and adapting to its condition.
This has now been expanded with the next-generation REM400 3.5” interactive touch-screen remote, pictured, as well as dual and attendant controls. Also launched is the REM500 touch-screen display, which can be paired with new specialist controls including alternate joysticks, head controls, and a range of switches and other accessories. This allows those with more specialised control needs to enjoy the full benefits of LiNX.
Available alongside this is the game changing MyLiNX app, which sends vital information about the condition of your powerchair to your tablet or smartphone via Bluetooth. This lets you view real-time graphics on battery condition as well as diagnostic information that can allow the quick and easy resolution of faults. The MyLiNX app is available on both Google Play for Android devices, and the App Store for iOS ones.
The Invacare technical team visited us last week to provide specialist training on the new LiNX features in advance of the launch. Of particular note is the ability to program “on the go” – traditionally, programming a powerchair has been a time-consuming process with frequent interruptions to make adjustments. LiNX allows us to easily make changes as you drive, in response to your feedback, quickly getting the chair set up exactly the way you wish.
The new LiNX controls are available on Invacare’s market-leading Fox, Spectra XTR3, Kite, and TDX SP2 series of powerchairs from Monday onwards. To find out more about how LiNX can benefit you, or to arrange a demonstration, please call us on 0800 025 8005 to speak to one of our powered mobility specialists.
