Sterling S-Series Profiled

Invalid Date

Sunrise Medical`s new S-Series scooters have proven a hit of late, and we take this chance to profile the range. These new scooters have refreshed Sunrise`s set of Sterling mobility scooters, which had started to look somewhat dated. The new S400, S425 and S700 however, are amongst the best scooters on the market, blending the best from new technologies and Sterling`s 30 years of experience in scooter design.

The S400 might ostensibly be the most "basic" of the range, but it is far from lacking in features when compared with other scooters of its class. With suspension, large pneumatic tyres, and a high-back padded seat, it offers unparalleled comfort for a Class 2 pavement scooter. Not only this, its stylish appearance is head and shoulders above its competitors, with style more often associated with high-end road scooters.

The S425 is based off the same chassis as the S400, albeit with large wheels and batteries, and an 8 mph top speed. This makes it a highly affordable 8 mph scooter, despite being new to the market. Distinguished by its sleek silver bodywork, as against the more traditional "you can have it in any colour, so long as it`s red" approach, it also boasts luxury touches such as full LED lights, carbon-effect wing mirrors, and an auto-adjust tiller angle.

The flagship of this new range is the S700, a large 8 mph road scooter that offers performance equivalent to, and beyond, that found on other manufacturers` high-end scooters. Weather-proof controls, spongy suspension, and large 13 inch tyres allow it to be used in conditions one would normally avoid with a scooter, while the outstanding 34 mile range is unbeatable.

All these scooters are available for purchase, long-term hire, and on the Motability scheme. For further information on them, please contact us on 0800 025 8005 to speak to a Wheelfreedom scooter specialist.
