Pride Mobility have re-released the Colt Plus mobility scooter due to strong demand for a reliable and comfortable medium-sized scooter for pavement use.
The original Colt Plus featured a high back seat as well as solid tyres – which provided a fairly harsh ride. Since it was discontinued a few years ago, their range has been lacking a mid-sized 4 mph scooter, with a gap between their boot scooters and road scooters. These types of scooters are popular for offering a good range and a feeling of solidity, without breaking the bank.
The relaunched Colt Plus now has pneumatic tyres for a much improved drive, as well as a low backed seat, which helps to keep the cost affordable. Price-wise it compares favourably with the popular Invacare Leo, although with a standard 1 year warranty on the Colt Plus as against the 2 year warranty Invacare offer.
