With the busy festive period fast approaching, now is the ideal time to make arrangements to hire a wheelchair if you have a disabled relative visiting, or wish to get out and join in the Christmas celebrations yourself. It will therefore be a relief to know that Wheelfreedom are delivering wheelchairs nationwide in the run-up to Christmas.
Our standard next-working morning deliveries of manual wheelchairs will continue as normal up to Tuesday 22nd of December, and can be booked online or over the phone. We can also arrange deliveries of wheelchairs for Wednesday 23rd – however, these can only be organised over the phone with one of our customer services advisors. We would recommend when possible getting a wheelchair delivered before this date, as Christmas is an extremely busy period for deliveries, which can sometimes lead to delays. There is limited availability for collection of equipment over the Christmas week, so we would recommend arranging collections for the weeks either side.
Our technicians will be operating a full delivery service for powered wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and tilt in space wheelchairs over the Christmas period, and you can book in a convenient delivery date and time when you order over the phone. As this is obviously a busy time, we would recommend ordering early to secure your preferred delivery slot.
The office will close at 1pm on Christmas Eve, and will then re-open on the 29th December. Opening hours will be reduced to 9 am – 5 pm on the 29th and 30th December, and 9 am – 1 pm on 31st December. We are closed on New Year`s Day and Saturday 2nd January, and will re-open with normal office hours from the 4th January onwards.
