Designed for use off-road, the TGA Vita X Mobility Scooter comes with a number of features to give it smooth off-road performance. Chunky high-grip tyres combine with strengthened alloys to allow the Vita X to negotiate uneven surfaces. An enhanced 200 Ah controller and 900 W motor gives the Vita X the power it needs, while the large 70 Ah batteries allow it to be used on journeys of up to 25 miles.
The Vita X comes with an advanced leather racing seat that provides extra lateral support, and which is fully adjustable, allowing it to be set to the comfort of the driver. Behind the seat is a convenient rear carrying bracket. Safety is ensured with an emergency braking system, as well as a full lighting system comprised of high-visibility LED lights.
The Vita X is not suitable for regular road use, as the chunky off-road tyres wear down quicker than normal when driven on paved surfaces, which is why the scooter is not available on the Motability scheme. We would therefore only advise getting the Vita X when it is to be used exclusively off-road, and would recommend considering the Vita Sport when intending to drive primarily on roads.
Our Verdict
The Vita X is the ultimate scooter for stylish off-roading. Other off-road scooters are available, including Pride's Ranger and TGA's Supersport and Breeze S4 - however, neither come close to matching the Vita X's modern looks.
