Quickie Q700-Up M

The Quickie Q700-Up M is the flagship standing powered wheelchair of Sunrise Medical's Q-series of powerchairs. A replacement for the Quickie Jive Up, the Q700-Up has been entirely redesigned to feature the highly-configurable Sedeo Ergo biometric seating with a new, smoother stand function. With just the touch of a button, your Q700-Up can elevate you into a standing position, allowing you to enjoy all the medical benefits of standing, as well as letting you be eye-to-eye with the world around you. Powerful 4-pole motors and reconfigured Spider-Trac 2.0 suspension on the Q700 M base give you the freedom to roam where you choose outdoors at up to 8 mph, while mid-wheel drive and an ultra-small turning circle allow the Q700-Up M to offer outstanding indoor agility. Your Q700-Up will be bespoke made to match your needs, offering unrivalled comfort from either the stylish and comfortable Sedeo Ergo or supportive and pressure-relieving JAY seating range.

Product Description

Standing & Seating System

Amongst the benefits of standing are:

  • Enhanced pressure relief, particularly for those with limited ability to shift their weight independently, or who have to sit for long periods of time.

  • Improved function and reach, increasing the ability to interact with your environment.

  • Lessened risk of contractures, as a result of an improved range of motion.

  • Vital organ capacity supported, including bowel and bladder function, as well as improved circulation.

  • Deeper respiration, through decreasing the pressure of the abdominal cavity on the lungs. This can also help reduce the risk of pneumonia.

  • Bone health promoted, reducing the occurrence of osteoporosis and skeletal deformities, by facilitating a natural spinal position.

  • Reduction in muscular atrophy and spasticity, the latter supporting a more peaceful sleep.

The Q700-Up comes with the advanced Sedeo Ergo seating system that as well as a smooth and quiet stand function of up to 85° comes with powered dual-tilt for pressure relief, anti-shear powered recline to reduce friction when lying down, and a powered seat lifter as standard. Knee fixation pads to support you while upright come as standard with the powered centre-mount legrest, which offers a programmable length and angle adjustment for all seat operations. The footplate can also be lowered all the way to the ground for forward transfers. The C-Me seat lifter allows you to drive while fully elevated at walking pace of 3 mph (5 kmph) - allowing you to enjoy the social benefits of being at eye level whilst out and about.

The seating is highly configurable - it comes as standard with the comfortable and stylish Sedeo Ergo cushioning; this includes swing-away lateral sections of the seat cushion that provide support and can be easily removed for side transfers. The full range of pressure-relieving and posture supporting JAY cushions and backrests can be fitted to the Q700-Up should your needs be more clinical, and the Whitmyer selection of highly adjustable headrests are also compatible. With fully adjustable seat sizes, this allows your Q700-Up to be set up to provide a precise fit, providing you with the blend of comfort, support and pressure relieve that you want, also being highly adaptable should your requirements change in the future.

Controls

The Q700-Up comes with the intuitive and powerful 120A R-net controls, including a high-resolution colour LCD joystick. We would strongly recommend the addition of the seat function Ctrl+5 Switch Box, which allows you to move into one of five pre-defined seat positions at the touch of a button. These positions include Stand-Up - with all the associated benefits of standing, Transfer - for easy transfer into and out of the seat, Relax - with recline, tilt and legs elevated, Lie-Down - a horizontal lying down position, and Sitting - the standard drive position. Each of these can be adjusted to your own particular needs, allowing the Q700-Up to change with you, and the unique patented Sedeo Ergo Biometric Repositioning keeps you comfortable and supported whilst changing between positions.

The controls can be expanded with personalised commands, or even the infra-red and bluetoooth environmental controls - such as dimming the lights or turning up the volume on your TV - all from your powerchair's joystick. Additional switches or special controls can be fitted in endless combinations using the Link-It Mounting System, and are designed to complement the looks of your powered wheelchair rather than compromise them. Should you opt for the Switch Box, it comes inclusive with the Switch-It Remote Seating app, which connects seamlessly with your powerchair to measure the amount of time spent in each position. This can be shared with your clinician to allow them to develop pressure relief plans, and can then alert you to change seating position when necessary.

Power Base

The Q700-Up M excels outdoors, featuring the redeveloped SpiderTrac 2.0 suspension giving you the amazing ride of the Jive series but harder wearing, making your chair more durable. This suspension absorbs and cushions bumps as you go, and keeps the seat steady and stable to a level that other powerchairs just can't match. The Q700 can climb kerbs of up to 4 inches, as well as providing a smooth descent down kerbs of the same height, with no jolts or forward pitching. High-torque 4-pole motors allow the Q700 to manage slopes of up to 10°, and can come in speeds of up to 8 mph if required. The seating position is engineered to add more weight to the drive wheels, increasing traction, and resulting in the Q700 being the top performing mid-wheel drive powerchair outdoors, capable of managing even rugged terrain. A gyro module can be fitted if required, correcting small deviations from your direction to keep you on track and making for a less demanding ride. A choice of 60 or 80 Ah Gel batteries are available, with a range of up to 25 miles (40 km) possible.

Mid-wheel drive means that the Q700-Up M is highly agile, able to turn on the spot. This means the Q700 has no compromise between indoor and outdoor usage - it excels at both. The overall width of 24.5 inches (62 cm) allows the Q700 to comfortably fit through doorways and most narrow spaces. The intuitive drive experience offered by its mid-wheel drive, and tight turning circle means that the Q700 is more than capable of being used in confined spaces even by those that sometimes have difficulty driving a powered wheelchair, and the controls can be programmed to allow a separate drive profile for indoor use with reduced speed, acceleration and joystick sensitivity, for precise manoeuvring. A low seat height of 17.7 inches (45 cm) is available, helping with access under tables and transportation.

Transit approved, the Q700-Up M has been successfully crash tested, and is therefore capable of being used as a seat in a vehicle when transporting the wheelchair user. Tie-down points allow it to be easily and safely secured for transport.

Appearance

The Q700-Up M boasts a modern, distinguished style, with a clean minimalist design that features hidden wiring and components. It comes with sleek matt black bodywork and stand-out colour inlays in your choice of six colours. Everything on the chair, even down to the upholstery and tyres have been picked to complement the looks and make you stand out on your Q700.
