The Rollz Motion Rhythm Rollator provides multiple cues to break a freeze in motion:
Laser - a green laser line can be projected onto the ground to stimulate breaking a freeze, and to improve the length and speed of strides.
Sound - a metronome signals the preferred frequency of steps, this rhythm contributing to regulating a steady walking pace.
Vibration - the handles vibrate at the rhythm of the pace. This tactile cue is particularly popular as it is not visible to other people around you.
Parkinson's can cause sudden, short and temporary episodes of being unable to move your feet forward, despite having the intention to continue walking. The triggers and cues of the Rhythm can overcome these episodes. The Rhythm can also be used for those with conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, or other neurological conditions that require re-leaning how to walk.
The controls are activated easily either by yourself or a companion, with simple buttons, or the option of a paired phone app. The choice of which stimuli to use and their frequency are up to you, and they can be activated by just the press of a button on the handlebars.
The Motion Rhythm is based on the popular Rollz Motion2, and offers all the same features of it - a modern, stylish appearance, and the ability to switch into a transit wheelchair when required.
